Tiny fare difference between PE and Biz
I have to go to Kingston next week, for work, and looked at available flights on the duopoly airlines (BA and VS) on the UK- Kingston route.
BA's schedule suited the work programme better, and the difference between Premium economy and Business was around £32 each way. Not too obthered about going out, daytime flight, but the chance for a flat bed on the overnight flight back into Gatwick was too good an opportunity to miss.
My company are "happy" to pay for PE, so I have stumped up the difference myself, willingly.
The question is, why are the fares so close together, and who would go PE rather than Biz for £32 ?
