We have been banking miles for that elusive Australia family vacation wanting to use 600k for 4 one world j awards for the family to Australia and new Zealand. We were targeting next year winter and I have enough miles now.

This rumor of the possibility of AA miles turning into AA pesos is worrisome. It's gonna make us possibly let that one go and try to plan some smaller trips this year. These are hard earned miles and can't risk them turning into pesos.
