I've received some of these before, but have never posted about them. Every once in a while I get an email from FT about a new post in a thread I am subscribed to (always via "instant notification") that doesn't look like the normal email.
Normal emails look like this:
Hello jasonvr,
anabolism has just replied to a thread you have subscribed to entitled - Is Global Entry worthwhile? - in the Practical Travel Safety Issues forum of FlyerTalk Forums.

Here is the message that has just been posted:

I'm pleased to report that the last 4-5 times I entered at LAX T4 (starting about late November or thereabouts), it is now much improved.
The right kiosk (there are only two) seems to be permanently out of order, and there is still a sign at the kiosks instructing GE people to see the first agent. A couple of times, the first agent was busy, but saw me waiting with a GE receipt, and waved me through.
The customs exit now has a clearly marked diplomatic and GE sign, with an agent keeping guard. This is a major improvement.

There may be other replies also, but you will not receive any more notifications until you visit the forum again.

The odd emails look like this:
Hi jasonvr,
hotelmotel has just replied to the thread '(FARE GONE) TK: HKG-IST-LAX $802 ai rt 2.4 cpm (Premium Econ)' on FlyerTalk.
hotelmotel's post:
----------
Huge Hail Mary here, but anybody at IST now (Saturday morning until ~10) that can guest in to THY lounge?
Notice the lack of links in the odd email, including a link to the actual thread.
I also noticed that the odd emails (at least in the most recent case) came from
[email protected] and normal emails come from
[email protected]
Anybody else seeing this? I think I got another one of these types of email earlier this week too, but I'm not sure.
