I never understood the Surpass card. You pay $75/year to get 3 additonal points per dollar spent at Hilton (compared to the regular AMEX HHonors card). I believe that is the only difference between surpass and regular?

Let's say you stay $50 nights per year and average $150/nt. That is 22,500 points over the year more you get with the Surpass card as compared to the regular card. Is that really worth $75? Maybe I am missing soe of the other benefits...
