My early efforts at getting a Chase Checking account to supercharge my Chase Freedom points were frustrated by the fact that there are no Chase branches or ATMs in Massachusetts. This also meant I could not open an account online. I called Chase and was told there was no chance for me to have an account with them.

During a roadtrip to Connecticut I drove by a Chase branch. I met with an Associate and was told there was no problem opening an account there eventhough I lived in Massachusetts. So I did and now I am all set.

I just figured people in my situation would want to know, because there was no helpful advice on this topic anywhere on the internet.
