My one-time experience leaving Venice via the airport (versus many times using the train )was not good.
1. Long wait.
2. Crowded queue. I recall standing for most of the time, thinking what a nice comfortable train seat would have been like instead.
3. Late arrival to FRA in diminishing weather = The start of the dreaded Flight cancellations, one by one, click-click-click.
Watching the tarmac disappear in the snow as the flight information board cancels is not good, even from the bar. But the consolation was an expensive, but warm overnight at the FRA Sheraton, and one of the best filets I experienced while staying there.
MUC remained open, interestingly enough.
