Haha, this reminded me of once where we had a 7 hour delay (was supposed to be 9 hours) for an EK flight and all they gave us was a £45 voucher for 3 people.

We ended up leaving the airport for a while and coming back then just as we sit down at a restaurant the flight time got put forward so we had to leave immediately.

I then looked for the poorest looking backpackers I could find and gave one of them the voucher.

WOW - £45 quid!!! he exclaimed, I'll never forget how happy they looked
