I did not think much of it, but now I am thinking that this is exactly what has been going on.

Next time I will ask the purser for a specific explanation and will include that this discussion(the one in this thread) has been going on about the locked lavs on BE TATL flights.

Will be interested to hear the response.
I noticed it happening on JFK-MXP and MXP-ATL in November & December. Passengers attempting to use the front lav were sent back for the entire flight (JFK-MXP) and most of the flight (MXP-ATL). The FA said that passengers were not allowed to use the front lav, no indication that it was inop.
