BTW, it's not unknown for stuff to disappear from room safes. In fact, it's happened to me in Phuket 5 years ago. I lost about $1500, an Ipod, & a camera. 5K in TCs were left in the safe. The thief didn't want 'em. An inside job. The master code was used and the hotel comped my stay, but that's it. I've had my ATM card eaten by a machine on Sukhumvit for no reason as well. With the fees what they are and all the ATM scams in Thailand, old school TCs are the best option IMO. wj
What is the fee to trade in the TCs?
Can this be done at the same places that exchange bills?
