All Android, don't like the Apple "ecosystem" as its akin to communism.

Live London Bus Tracker - great for finding out how long before the next bus is or deciding to walk instead. Saves texting the bus stop code.

Google maps with Traffic info is better than my SatNav.

The Register - for geeky IT info and more.

Comic Reader - greate for Dilbert and more.

Jefit - great workout program with visuals, timer and tracker.

NetCounter - tells you how much you've downloaded via mobile or via Wifi. You can set limits when roaming.

TipNSplit - enter the bill, number in the party and what percentage tip you'd like to pay and it does it for you.

TMWorld Clock - saves you working out how many hours it is back home.

There are various social media apps that are proximity based and can be very amusing when out and about.
