all, i'm new to all of this but this triple miles (the 2 promos combined) seems like a great deal. i want to make sure i am not missing anything because doing these runs means my wife has to deal w/ the kids on her own so it better be worth it. i'm thinking of doing 5 runs, each something like this:

wed jan 18, flight 2340 SFO (6:10AM) --> ORD (12:30 PM)
wed jan 18, flight 1835 ORD (4:15PM) --> SFO (6:50 PM)

so since i am registered for both promos, does this really mean i get 1846 miles / trip * 2 (RT) * 3 (combining both promos) for a total of 11,076 miles / trip? if I do 5 of these by end of jan, then will i be immediately upgraded to platinum?
