Yea - I get the letter of the law.
I was wondering if anyone had any experience outside the black & white of the rules. I realize that it is entirely dependent on the gatekeepers at the desk. I know all the ladies who work the PHL desk... during the week, since I've been a member there forever. If one or more of them are there, I'd say my chances will be pretty good, since they are very nice. I have NEVER been to the club on weekends and have no idea who will be working.
Looking for some antidotal evidence that someone was able to herd in the family gratis.
I have found the following:
If things are really busy, and your group does not stand next to you. No one really pays attention. You can just walk in. Works best at the "C" check in.
If thing are really slow. Usually you can ask nicely and things will work out. Depends upon the agent.
In between who knows. Roll the dice.
