Premier Inn have quite an extensive presence in the UK and while some look down on them, they are perfectly adequate for an overnight stay if you don't set your expectations too high. Clean, friendly and functional.

The restaurants serve English pub grub and the cooked breakfasts are generally excellent.

I haven't stayed at LHR but all seem to have paid-for wifi in the rooms and public areas. GBP10 for 24 hours IIRC.
