I'm sure UA will hear very quickly who the offending airlines are that are violating *A policy. The policy is "a valid frequent flyer program Star Alliance Gold level card or other valid indication of Star Alliance Gold level status". I'm sure valid will be the key word, but I think UA should deny the *Gs from said airline to all UCs until they agree to follow the stated policy.

For the record I think UA is really dropping the ball on this one. They could have very easily allowed eligible *Gs to request a new/temp card without issuing new cards to everyone. For those of us that travel domestically or don't need the card wouldn't ask for one.
