WIll be travelling to Bordeaux for the Medoc Marathon this september.

Has anyone experience flying into Bordeaux?
I have been told that you can fly to Paris, Madird, Barcelona and take trains.
Are there any regional airlines to connect to?

(I am United flyer with regard to airline and partner preference)
