We were also upgraded to a Towers view room, which gave us a nice view of the Petronas Towers.
Honestly, the Asian SPG Category 2 and 3 properties are *very* nice.
Factors ranked in order of importance:
1. Overall hotel quality (room size, quality, facilities)
2. Convenience (dining options nearby, shopping options, ability to walk rather than cab or mass transit is preferred)
3. Platinum Benefits (breakfast, upgrade)
This is a leisure trip, so cost is important sure...and I'll likely be using points, or a c+p combination if available.
