That brings up another question: can a crew member just put an "Out of Order" sign on a lav without actually writing it up? Of course, they can just put a sign on the door, but if its not recorded is against any rules?
Regardless, I'm sure you could get some overzealous FA (or lawyer) to argue that this was "crewmember interference" or some bull like that. Welcome to America, land of the "if something is vague we'll nickle and dime it and if we can powertrip it we will" and the home of the brave!
