In that case, I should clarify - I got full points on an Amex FHR stay last year, but it isn't actually written down anywhere that you get them! I assume they treat Amex bookings as bog-standard published-rate travel agent bookings (ie not a booking made on negotiated special rates).

Unlikely, although I'm sure they would pick you up at the Hilton for free. The airport / creek hotels are a max 10 minute drive anyway at that time of night so not really worth getting too bothered about. DXB is also not the sort of place where you will ever arrive to find them short of taxis!
