I didn't find a "Master Thread" for this property, so I thought I would post my stay experience on this thread.

The hotel feels very "new" and nice. As someone else mentioned, the entire area is very suburban upscale, and this place fits in nicely. I haven't stayed at the Westin across the way as our rates there aren't nearly as budget friendly, but I'm guessing from what I've heard that it's quite a bit nicer.

The staff is very friendly. The gym is quite nice as well. Plenty of room and enough equipment, and it's all new enough to be functional. They have water, towels, and headphones for use as well.

The rooms are very modern with flat screens and showers that don't have doors. Seems silly, but I appreciate when hotels have good heating/cooling systems, which this one does. As a platinum guest I was offered an executive suite. I mistakenly turned it down as it was on the 2nd floor and I wanted to be near the lounge on the 4th floor for convenience. More on this in a bit, but I will definitely accept the upgrade next time.

The building is wide and not tall, so there are very long hallways and you can be quite a ways from the elevator. Some might find that to be a good thing - but when I travel, I spend very little time at the hotel and want to be able to get in/out with ease.

I haven't eaten the bar/room service food. The menu is a bit limited and $4 + 22% service charges for room service makes a turkey sandwich almost $20. There are some very nice restaurants across the street (they share parking lots with the hotel) where you can get incredible food for $20 carryout at the bar. Sushi, Mexican, Italian, etc. all right there.

The "lounge" is pathetic compared to either Sheraton Arlington or Sheraton Ft. Worth. It's basically a normal sized unstaffed room with a PC, printer, a couple chairs, a stack of warm sodas, and a bowl of quaker chewy granola bars. I expected hot food in the evening and perhaps a glass of wine. I would also appreciate being able to grab fruit or cereal in the morning quickly on my way out the door.

I also was given coupons for the breakfast buffet. I believe it's a platinum benefit and not part of our rate. Food is pretty standard fare for a hotel breakfast buffet. No omelet station like the Westin DFW, but good enough for me.

This will likely become my go-to hotel in the area, but more by default than anything else. The Westin is too expensive, and the only other option is the a-loft (either Plano or Frisco) which is just all-around a bad choice for frequent business travel.
