I made a round-trip award booking SIN-ICN (destination)- ULN (stopover)- SIN
in business class for 30k miles RT (before the MileagePlus award chart change, now need 45k miles RT for biz class)
I had to change the departure date to a later date and the agent did not even tell she put me in economy class until I checked the reservation the next day

I called MileagePlus and spoke to a few agents and supervisors but none of them would honor this reservation of 30k miles for biz class

They offered to deposit the 30k miles back into my MP account to cancel the reservation or taking an additional 15k miles from my account to put me into biz class. Neither of these offers appeal me.

Anyone has similar experience?
