For the longest time, I thought Chase hates me (they wouldn't let me have more than one credit card as of last year) and I never understood why in spite of my good credit history. This offer was way too good to pass up (esp. since I have some major trips on United this year) and I figured it was worth the credit pull. I called the day after I applied, but no decision was made.

I called the automated status line just now, I found out that I had been approved, with a reasonably large credit line! Finally! This is without me having to call the consideration line. I thought I was going to have to call in or denied outright because 1) there has been a number of inquiries as of late 2) I had recently (about 6 weeks) ago gotten the Chase Ink Card (which took them nearly 25 days to make an decision), and had gotten the Chase Sapphire in the last 6 months (most of my spend are on the this card, so maybe that helps?)

I had an old United Select card from way back when which was cancelled almost two years ago, so I'm also equally encouraged to read that others are getting the bonus for this new card. I'm so looking forward to getting the card in my hands.
