I did COK-CCU via BOM mid December 2011. Even though I told that staff that I was in transit, I had to do security again because the gate where I arrived and the gate where I had to leave from were connected through an non-sterile area, security wise. However, the luggage was properly transited without any assistance from me. About 17 years ago, I did a transit through BOM, and I had to identify my luggage but nothing of that sort was required this time.

I did get both the boarding passes from Kochi. Actually, the flight from Kochi to Mumbai was delayed, so they changed my flight from BOM to CCU to the next Jet flight. I give kudos to Jet staff in Kochi for being proactive.
