Wife and I flew LX F ZRH-PVG last September (reward seats) and were met by a PA once we exited the jetway.

She escorted us to immigration, and led us to the "special" line, which I believe was diplomatic etc.

A Chinese Immigration officer, who I believe was the HMFIC at the time (senior officer), came out of the main booth and asked what we were doing in that line.

I told him that we were told to go there (I do not speak Chinese and he did not speak much English). He became very angry and told us to get in the main line.

The PA then came forward and started speaking to the Officer on our behalf. The officer became enraged and started screaming at the PA. We started to make our way to the main line. The PA (respectfully) was discussing the issue with the officer, who continued to yell and scream.

It was uncomfortable for us, and I'm sure humiliating for the PA.

After a minute or so, the officer put us back in the diplomat line and we quickly were processes through immigration.
