Assuming your miles get credited, they should be credited to 2011, and would qualify you for Gold/Premier Gold in 2012, starting immediately (although the "new benefits" of Premier Gold won't start until later in 1Q12.
The expectation is that the benefits will last through Jan. 2013, although that could always change.
