CHECK IN:
We looked at the monitor for the EK check in Desk and headed in that direction. EK had almost a full pier to themselves and the lines were nonexistent. There were plenty of staff standing around to guide us. We approached the check in desk and gave the agent our passports. I had already assigned our seats but I was curious to know the loads. The agent said that there were 54 PAXS on the flight. I jokingly asked him for an upgrade and he told me that there were none in first and four in business and everyone else in economy. So, he said it was not possible. He gave us our boarding passes and we headed off to security and Immigration.
BOARDING:
Security and Immigration were quiet and it did not take us long to pass through. Terminal three is a vast and easy to navigate Terminal. Just read the signs and you can’t go wrong. There was one thing on my mind and that was coffee. Most of the shops and stores had yet to open and the gate areas were very quiet. Boarding was to start at 6:15, so we had about fifteen minutes to get some coffee. We found a lounge area that was open and settled into the seats. The waitress gave us a menu and it was odd to think they would serve pizza, pasta and steaks at this hour of the morning. I settled for a Americano Coffee.
At 6:15ish, we took a slow walk to the gate. As we were walking, an agent walked by us with a red Emirates sign and asked if we were on the flight. He stated that it would depart early. We picked up our speed and arrived at the gate with no one but EK staff standing around. I guess it does not take too long to board 54PAXS.
