The Marriott is much better than the Renaissance. The CL is way better and the rooms are nicer. They also have some nice suites with small kitchen area/living room and bedroom. It's convenient to the mall and restaurants, too.
I'd agree that the Marriott SP has nicer rooms and maybe a bit better service, but I prefer the layout of the Renaissance. The Ren also has better food IMHO and is an easier walk to the nice outlying restaurants. The Marriott is actually closer to the mall and one little shopping center with a couple good places, but the Ren is closer to the free standing places.
