I think you can also double up the Avios points when you do things like use your Avios Credit Card at tesco to buy your shopping. I remember with Airmiles, you could collect Tesco clubcard points at the same time then change your club card points intl Airmiles. Not sure if you can do this with Avios but worth a look into if you use Tesco to do all of you shopping.
