Airlines are not allowed advertise flights without including all taxes and surcharges (and in many countries aren't even allowed display them without these fees being listed/included), yet resort fees are often hidden away somewhere not obvious, and very rarely included in the "total" price listed when booking a room.
It's not like the hotel hid it so nobody can find it. It's right there on the website. I found it so anyone else doing their due diligence should be able to find it (it's right on the main page on the bottom left). Nothing deceiving about it since most, if not all resorts apply a resort fee. I personally find it ridiculous since you are asking people to pay for services they may or may not use.

Since airlines were brought up, let me just say there were airlines purposely excluding certain fees that were added to the price of a ticket, however in the case of this particular hotel nothing was deceived since it was noted on their website. I have no way of knowing if it shows up during the reservation process/confirmation email since this is not a property I have made a reservation for.

With regard to the $5 dollar room, $150 resort fee scenario.. ask me if I would book a room there after comparing my options. If prices were a wash after all taxes/charges (resort fee) included, then yes, maybe I'd consider it.
