Chase Sapphire Denied
I'm going to give the reconsideration line a call. The reason was potential obligations too high relative to income. I'm a student with part time work that averages about 25k a year and I think that's what I put on the applications (but come summer time that number will go up a lot so I guess that could be a point I make). That didn't include any financial aid money or any help I get from parents for bills which I probably should've included. When calling what are some points I could make to get the card approved? I already have a student card for $300 and a United Select Visa for $5000 with them. My credit score is 769 according to creditkarma. I'd like to keep the Select Visa but would be willing to cancel that if it got this card approved since I'd be applying for the Explorer card in a few months time anyway. I've also always paid my balance off in full every month if that matters.
edited to ad that the student card application was from over a year ago and the united visa from about 7 months
