I should reach gold at the end of my next TATL trip but my year end is July. But that was a one-off reset when you moved from Silver > Gold for the first time. After that your year was a 'strict' year anyway, so in the greater scheme of things you're not really losing out that much unless you anticipate your flying will decrease over the next 12-18 months.
