Called the DD yesterday morning to resolve an issue. I'll spare you the details, but it was very straightforward. The rep, her name was Pat (there, I said it), told me it couldn't be done blah blah blah -- but I knew it could, I'd done it before. I protested a couple of times without even pulling a DYKWIA ... to no avail. Hung up frustrated. Then I remembered the counsel from FT: Call a different agent. Genius!
I did. Waited awhile and called back. The rep said, "Hello, this is Pat." I hung up. (What are the odds?)
So I called late last night -- when Pat was sure to be sleeping -- and got a very helpful and diligent rep, Mary, who took care of it with no problem.
Would it be tacky to start a thread of reps to avoid, and reps who are very helpful? First names only, of course.
