I'm confused. Why isn't the benefits of being plat (upgrades, welcome points, ect) worth staying after 50 nights? I'm puzzled why everybody wants to get the plat status and then switch to somewhere else for the remainder of the year in order to get status there as well.
I completely agree. For me, that's the point of getting PLT. Upgrades, points, etc. all combine to make my Starwood stays much more pleasant as a PLT. Why start from scratch somewhere else once I've acheived the recognition?
