The guy being thrown was being a royal pain in the arse, and in my opinion the train manager handled it all wrong. The force was in my view excessive as it wasn't appropriate to the level of aggression being shown by the fare evader. The Daily Fail would get its knickers in a twist if he gets found guilty, but it's down to the Train company to take action against fare evaders not members of the public. The member of public intervened not because the arse wasn't paying his fare but because the train manager was holding the train there.
