But if ReneB is already Gold now (as 800 TPs will "extend the gold membership for another year") with a membership year end of 8 April 2012, then he won't have to do anything more to qualify for the transitional protection, will he? He will by definition be Gold on 1 March 2012, so why would he have to get to 800 TPs before 1 March 2012?
