Superb stay
I had a 12 day stay (on points) over Chritmas and New Year and to tell you in short: superb!
Hotel was full and even then, they went the extra mile to switch some bookings in their system to give me an upgrade to a Junior suite, facing the pools and sea with a nice terrace and sunbeds!
Originally, I had a reservation for ten days but I extended it after they opened inventory for points for me for two more days!
Had a nice talk with the GM, who is in charge for 11 years now.
Staff is very good trained for service and you could even talk with room maids( in english).
Almost every day, there was a baby elephant shown around at the Pool, that many children (and adults) liked.
Even the hotel running at full occupancy, there were no signs of disadvantages for the hotel guests (what I'd have expected, like long waiting time at breakfast or at the phone for the operater ...)
No charge for lending rackets to play Squash or Tennis.
Another great plus for this hotel is, that unlike other Hotels in Thailand or other countries, they don't force you, to take part and pay for Christmas or New Year's Eve dinner!
Platinum members have the choice to have breakfast at three different restaurants; One of them is especially for platinum members with choices of food, that is not available at the other restaurants, like salmon...
One cocktail per person per day (and not only per stay) at Thongson bar and also a fruit basket every day.
