my apologies if it has been explained but I just spoke to BA helpdesk and they gave me a very weird answer.

I’m for the last 3 years a gold member and my membership is ending on the 8th of April 2012 and my card is valid thru to the 31st of May 2012
I have to reach another 120 points in order to reach the 800 required to extend the gold membership for another year.

I just called the help desk and the lady informed me that I need to reach the 120 points before March otherwise I will need to achieve a higher amount of points before the 8th of April in order to extend the gold membership.

She also informed me that she learned this on the training but is not totally sure about this as it sounds ridicules. They are however to busy to ask a superior helpdesk staff member.
