There's £400,000 of cost right there - I can't see it's in BA or flybe's interest to spend this sort of money.
This does remind me of the story of how NASA spent millions of dollars developing a pen that would write in zero-gravity. The Russsians made do with a pencil.
How expensive would a piece of paper saying "look at BA gold or silver card, check expiry date, match name to name on BP, admit if in order" cost?
