For KLM in particular, it says
To qualify for mileage accrual, flights must be marketed by KLM and must also fall within the eligible flight number range.
So, a DL coded KL flight would not qualify.
However, if DL has listed that particular flight in their own Eligible Flight number range ... we could credit it as a DL flight.
Thanks missy! I guess my question is, is that accurate? I hadn't seen that language before, but when I called customer care I was told something like this (as in my initial post):
I was actually told by MP customer care that they were eligible, as long as the operating carrier's flight number and class of service were eligible.
Was she completely wrong, or is there a policy change, or is this a gray area?
