We're looking to do the trip for a good price so not overly sure how 'luxury' these two are, but have managed to find some good deals in our budget (around £600 for four nights).
The Benjamin is £585+tax for a Deluxe Studio with Virtuoso benefits through classictravel.com. Benefits are upgrade, full American breakfast, 20% off spa (won't use), amenity from GM and early check-in (will use).
Jumeirah Essex House is £595+tax for a King Room on a stay four, pay three with benefits (Signature?) through whatahotel.com. Benefits are upgrade, continental breakfast and $100 for South Gate restaurant.
Which would you choose and why? Not too worried about room size as we'll be out and about a bit. I have no idea on locations to stay in NYC - I think we'd be Tribeca / Soho guys, but friends are saying stay super central for a first visit.
Thanks
Thanks for your intereste in The Benjamin. My name is Andrew Labetti and I am the GM of The Benjamin hotel in NY. We would love to have you stay here with us. I am a bit diheartened to read that some fellow posters preferred the other hotel, (which is a great hotel as well), but I am a true believer in my Property. I invite you to call the hotel directly at 212.715.2500 and ask for me directly as I would like to assist you in the reservation process if you decide to stay with us. We did just complete an 8 Million dollar renovation and our new restuarant "The National" has received critical acclaim nationaly and our chef Geoffrey Zakarian has just won "The Next Iron Chef" on the food network. I truly hope you decide to stay with us as I will personally guarantee you will have a wonderful stay. Thanks Andrew
