JFK-TLV: Horrible old plane, worthless Economy Comfort

Just posting here to complain about the dumpy, uncomfortable old POS aircraft that Delta is using for it's TLV-JFK routes.

The upgraded classes are quite nice, of course, but if you are a poor schmoe in coach, this is probably the most uncomfortable long-haul flight experience I've ever had.

There is no personal entertainment, no AC power, no USB power, nothing.

And, don't waste your money on Economy Comfort like I did - sat one row behind EC on the way to TLV, and in EC on the way back - on this plane, there is absolutely NO difference. NONE. And the flight attendants have that...Israeli sensibility....where they arbitrarily refuse to serve you cocktails, even though you paid to sit in a seat with free cocktails.

Worst flights ever. They have these giant old CRT televisions sticking out of the ceiling, and one of those 20-year-old overhead projector screens at the bulkhead. Since both flights are overnight, and people are in and out of sleep the entire time, it's basically impossible to watch even a single full movie on this flight. You find yourself going insane with boredom and discomfort.

Really pissed off I blew $60 on that worthless seat. (Which was the Gold Medallion price.)

What is Delta thinking? I was shocked they are running such a crappy old plane on a 12-hour route.

(Of course, I tried to fly an Air France or KLM alternative, but it was over the holidays, nothing was available. Next time, plan ahead, and avoid this particular flight at ALL costs.)
