Good point. Concierge did mention a private car with driver option. I forgot already the exact price but it was around $180 ballpark. I was by myself and not feel comfortable just me with a "stranger" for a whole day so scratched that option and went with the group tour. It makes a lot of sense if you have two or more people for the private car option.
Also a couple I met at the EL went with a rental car. It was a easy drive (as far as I can tell). There is a SIXT rental office at the hotel and plenty of car rental signs around.
360 is the reg going rate,I paid 320 @ Lea Travel , the cheap C&D was the same price as 2 people by bus, we were 3 so it was alot cheaper. But he will mentioned a price and then we said is there anyone cheaper and Bingo he arranged for this guy, for 2 it will be a car for 3+ he will come with a mini van. the good thing is with the bus you are stuck with their times with the C&D you control it all.If you like a place you can stay longer , dont care for it he will leave
