FWIW- I have no probelm with scalpers in principle (although many are not-so-friendly). It's just a supply and demand issue, and they are a way of creating an equalibrium.

In fact, in this instance, they would be doing us a service. You see, I would never have bought tickets for the box office prices of $1400 for a lower level seat. Now, I might pay some poor sap $250 a seat for a lower level seat. I would not be able to attend, but for the $1150 discount per seat I'll be getting.
