We have been to Paris a number of times but our trip a few weeks ago was out first in the winter. My wife is an excellent chef and an amazing baker. I located a website that offers cooking classes:
http://cooknwithclass.com/
and we signed up for a three hour course on making macarons a la Laduree. Our teacher was Briony - originally from Australia. The class included only five people. It was very enjoyable and the macarons were even better than the ones we later got at Laduree.
Anyone looking for something different need look no further. The class ended up lasting almost 3 1/2 hours. Not cheap at 125 Euro per person but we saw it as a Last Minute Special and got it for 100 Euro. Highly recommended.^
