Ive been with EY almost since it started, ive been very loyal over that time, built myself up from bronze to gold member and proud i was too to be a gold member.
I was regularly getting upgrades, sometimes on trips LHR-BKK i would have 3 out of the four, i just loved them...

BUT....

It all started to come crashing down….

I looked into using my miles the other week and to my astonishment its now 120,000 for a 'free' flight, 80k before, 50% increase.

and because of the tax, you dont save much anyway, approx £460 flight will cost around £190-200, the rest is tax, and as you know, we have to pay the tax.

And now i just realised ive been downgraded, they did away with bronze and added a Gold Elite, so in essence, they downgraded me…im in shock.

I spoke to a girl on the desk regarding this, she totally denied there ever was a bronze (i still have the card I told her) so after these disappointments, as from tonite, it time for me to go.

I just booked a flight with Gulf air, long stopovers but im saving £340 on EY fares, so it just has to be done.

Im quite sad really, like losing a girlfriend
