The google doc information is very useful. Do you know if CI does any status matching with other carriers? It seems the best SKYTEAM option for me but do I have to star at the bottom? ( I have SQ TPP which I will drop this year but keep TG Gold and QF Platinum).

I don't recall CI match status much, but you can always try to fax them and see what happens. They do not have a status match FFP e-mail afaik.
Though, you only need to fly 30k (or by segments) to reach Gold until Sept. with their Skyteam celebration, it shouldn't be too difficult.
They do have an offer right now where if you apply HSBC Infinite card in Taiwan and approved (TWD 20k yearly fee), you will get a year Gold automatically for 1 year.
