Too late for OP, but this might help others who just achieved a higher elite level. My wallet was stolen in late NOV. I called MP desk for a replacement card stating I would be traveling overseas and need the card for lounge access. I was told it would take 2 to 3 weeks. It arrived about one week later (with 1/2012 exp date).

I did the same thing for my OP card. It arrived 3 - 4 weeks later.

I don't know if being 1K/PLT helped.
