I'm looking for a deal for Jan 16th. No points redemptions available on that day.

I'm pretty adept at finding BRGs with at least a 75% success rate on all my SPG stays.

I found a prepaid rate on Marriott.com for 5810 baht (6902 baht all in = US$218). I've already found a rate of $148 all in on another website which is also a prepaid rate.

Since I have no experience with Marriott, do I have a shot with this? How do I go about getting this without prepaying the room? Can I make a non-prepaid reservation and submit that the way I do with SPG?

Edit: Actually just noticed my competitive rate includes taxes AND breakfast. Same room type with breakfast on marriott.com is 7450 baht before taxes, and is cancellable. So do I have a valid claim?
