The so called "hardware" of the SAS long-haul A330/A340 is a bit dated now. You have your own screen with a good selection of movies and music, but it's not on-demand, just shown in loops, so it's really hard to see a movie from beginning to end. If you are traveling with one other person, the AB and GH seats are good. See seatguru for preferable choices.

Around Scandinavian school holidays, expect to have your peace interrupted by spoiled noisy blond kids that neither parents or the crew ever hush.

Only one main course is served in Economy, rather small portions but in my opinion otherwise above average for Economy long-haul. One alcoholic beverage before the meal, and one with the meal.

In case of ir-ops, SAS is one of the best companies I know, with rebookings also to non-alliance partners without fuss.
