Just in case you aren't familiar with Chicago. A native can correct me if I am wrong here, but if I remember correctly this is the easiest (cheaspest) way to get to the hotel.

1.Take the blue line from the airport all the way into town. Follow the signs.
2. Get off at Clark and Lake. Stop is called CLARK.

2. Walk up Clark (North) towards the river.

3. Turn right on Whacker and walk till you get to Michigan Ave. (Approximately 5 Blocks)

If you aren't into walking the 5 blocks, you can always catch a cab from the train stop. If it is rush hour, you are definitly better off walking. If you look at a map State street is the closest stop, but the Blue line doesn't go there and you would have to change trains to get to the State street stop, and it really not worth doing since you would only get 2 blocks closer. Another good thing about the Clark street stop is it is handicap accessible, which means there are elevators, which is important if you have a heavy suitcase.
