Not all the decreases in passenger loads will be attributed to the demotions but it is a sure bet that the demotions will be the main reason.

^^ What UA apparently doesn't realize is that they have created a huge incentive for me to fly AA if I don't think I can reach 1K for next year. If I can't, I'm much better off making sure I hit 50K on AA than 50K or 75K on United.
